I’m not sure why, but over the past few years the entire Shrek franchise has become a comfort to me. The movie came out in 2001, saved DreamWorks from bankruptcy, and has become a huge meme. I watch it when I’m sad, hungover, in a bad mood, or when I just want to vibe.

My husband and I almost know all the words to the first one, and we have no regrets.

To the right you’ll see my little collection of Shrek things, complete with my personal embroidered fanny pack, commissioned candles from Smoke and Clover, my DVD set, Blu-Ray set, a mug with the first few moments of the script, a pin I found thrifting, and Shrek 2 on the DS.

As a matter of fact, since I found Shrek frames on Facebook, this is what my profile photos have consisted of over the past few months starting in August 2019 and my profiles haven’t been Shrek-free since.
